SEBI tightens norms for mutual fund schemes to be invested in REITs and InvITs

Securities and Exchange Board of India said that mutual fund schemes investing in Real Estate Investment Trust (REITs) and Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs) will have to give 15-day time to unit-holders to exercise exit option. Earlier, the capital market regulator notified norms allowing mutual funds to invest in REITs and InvITs in order to attract more investors.
