Asset management companies wait for interest payment from DHFL

According to media reports, mutual fund houses are in a wait and watch situation with regards to the bond interest payment by Dewan Housing Finance Ltd (DHFL), which was due on Jun 4, 2019. The housing finance company has requested for seven-day grace period. However, the overall industry is sceptical about the company’s ability to make the humungous payment of Rs. 960 crore as interest payment.
