According to data from AMFI, the mutual fund industry AUM witnessed uptick of 2.64% on MoM basis from Rs. 31.02 lakh crores to Rs. 31.84 lakh crores in Jan 2021. Over the year, the AUM size increased 14.31% from Rs. 27.86 lakh crores. The industry witnessed a net outflow of Rs. 35,586.60 crores during the month. Income/debt-oriented schemes (open ended) saw a net inflow of Rs. 33,408.76 crores during the month. Additionally, equity and equity-oriented schemes (open ended) witnessed net outflow of Rs. 9,253.22 crores.
