AMFI: Legal heir to obtain ARN within six months of the death of a mutual fund distributor to continue to get trail income

According to media reports, AMFI announced that in the event of the death of a mutual fund distributor, his/her nominee or legal heir will have to obtain ARN within six months to continue to get trail income. If the nominee or legal heir decides not to obtain ARN, AMCs will transfer the assets of deceased ARN holder to other distributors or direct plans.
