AMFI reports outflow of Rs. 1,763.71 crore in Fixed Term Plans

According to the monthly data released by Association of Mutual Funds in India, Fixed Term Plans accounted for Rs. 1,763.71 crore in outflows in Jul 2019 compared with Rs. 2,361.31 crore in the prior month. The category saw fresh purchases of Rs. 652.23 crore in Jul relative to Rs. 440.30 crore in the prior month. The net assets under management for FTP stood at Rs. 1.39 lakh crore. The recent events of credit defaults and downgrade in debt papers have adversely impacted these schemes in the recent months.
