According to media report, SEBI has directed that mutual fund houses should not hold more than 10% stake in other fund houses. In addition, Asset Management Companies (AMCs) may not be allowed to have representation on the board of the AMC of any other mutual funds. The new norms are aimed at avoiding conflict of interest.
