According to media reports, the Association of Mutual Funds of India has appealed to the finance ministry for extending the deadline to upload Know Your Customer (KYC) data on the central KYC Registry (CKYCR) platform. Previously, the Securities and Exchange Board of India had asked all the fund houses and Registered Investment Advisers to upload the KYC data of all individual accounts opened on or after Aug 1, 2016 by Mar 31, 2017 on CKYCR platform. The fund houses are finding it difficult to upload the KYC data on this platform for existing investors before this deadline.
