AMFI: Asset base of mutual fund industry rose to an all time high in Nov

According to data from the Association of Mutual Funds of India (AMFI), the asset base of the mutual fund industry continued to surge to an all-time high of Rs. 16.50 lakh crore as on Nov 30, 2016. The surge is led by strong inflows in the income and equity fund categories. While income funds saw net inflow of Rs. 18,306 crore during Nov, equity and equity oriented funds witnessed net infusion of Rs. 9,079 crore for the same month. However, gold exchange traded funds witnessed a pull out of Rs. 69 crore during the period under review.
